Product Description

This fiber‑optic gyroscope is an inertial angular velocity sensor built upon the Sagnac effect, which measures the carrier’s rotational angular velocity along the sensitive axis. Adopting a digital closed‑loop detection circuit, it captures the optical‑path difference of counter‑propagating light inside the fiber coil induced by external rotational angular velocity. The optical‑path difference is converted into a voltage signal for modulation and demodulation. Closed‑loop feedback and control are implemented to realize real‑time angular‑velocity detection.

Function The product comprises an optical angular‑velocity sensitive unit and a signal‑detection unit. It outputs angle increment data as well as internal temperature information.

Application Areas It is widely used for photoelectric cranes, flying platforms, transportation equipment, inertial navigation systems, inertial measurement systems, optical and photographic instruments, platform stabilization devices and other inertial‑measurement‑related applications.

System Components Main components are listed below: ‑ Optical components: SLD light source, optical fiber coil, integrated optical phase modulator, optical fiber coupler and photodetector; ‑ Circuit section: light‑source driving circuit, signal detection and control circuit; ‑ Gyro mechanical structure.
